Zilker Park Spring

Directions: The Barton Creek Spring is located in Zilker park. The park can be accessed from Lamar. Head west on Barton Springs Road and take a left on William Barton Drive. Finding a space may take a couple of turns, but there is usually a space or two to be found here. Other nearby lots are located west of the William Barton loop. The free Dog spring is located downstream of the spring the humans pay to swim in.

Although the current is fairly weak, a semi-circle of rocks keeps dogs from floating away. Dogs and humans bark and gawk at each other from opposite banks. To dry off, you might want to go for an off-leash run in the soccer field.
