Sesame Corn
- 3 ears corn
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoons sesame seed
- 2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh or 1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Prepare corn. Cut enough kernels from ears to measure 1 1/2 cups. Mix all ingredients in 1 1/2-quart saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat 15 minutes or until corn is tender.
Makes 4 servings; 165 calories per serving.
Spicy Grilled Corn
- 4 ears corn
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix or lemon pepper
- 2 tablespoons water
Husk ears and remove silk. Mix margarine and taco seasoning mix. Spread over corn. Place each ear on double thickness heavy-duty aluminum foil. Sprinkle ear with water. Wrap securely in foil and twist ends. Place ear on medium coals. Cover and grill 15 to 25 minutes, turning once, until tender.
Makes 4 servings; 145 calories per serving.
