JAMAICANS
The Jamaican motto is "Out of Many, One People" and this is a true description of Jamaican people--all shades, all races living together.  We think most of the reports of "unrest" in Jamaica have been a bit distorted, applying mostly to a few Kingston urban areas.  The local Jamaican people are warm, friendly, open, honest, church-going folk, who work in fishing and agriculture.  They are very easy to talk to and love to laugh.  A warm smile is the quickest way to make friends.  Confer with the villa staff prior to doing anything risky with strangers.
