Claire Martin is one of the new breed of jazz artists emerging in the 1990's. Her voice is clear and precise moving from note to note with the efficiency of a horn. Her ability to render a ballad with convincing emotion is equally impressive. She has two recordings available on compact disc and seems off to a great career. It will be interesting to hear her renditions of classic ballad and jazz standards. With a voice of such capabilities there is probably nothing this singer can't handle.
