Ella Fitzgerald

Probably the most musical and prolific period of Ella Fitzgerald's career the 50's and 60's saw her blossoming as an artist. During this period she became the undisputed Queen of Scat, embracing the Be-Bop movement and beginning to branch out into different genre's. She experimented with country and western as well as some blue like sounds. Throughtout the decades she sounds as always perfectly in pitch and musically in control of her medium. Her legendary Berlin concerts in the 60's are the epitome of her talent showcasing her apparent joy at performing. Also in the live recordings can be heard the love and adoration she had developed throughout the world and which continued to her autumn years.
