Good Sites: TimeOut

TimeOut in conventional print media is a group of excellent publications about major cities of the World covering topics such as touristic sites, places to eat, dance clubs, important addresses and phone numbers, galleries, exhibits, theaters, movies, etc. Basically TimeOut on-line covers everything that the hardcopy TimeOuts cover and what they have done on line is even more impressing and rewarding.

The site has taken advantage of the utilities digital medium offers. TimeOut on-line has its own search engine which makes locating information quite a breeze. Their graphical design is pleasing and does not clutter the screen unnecessarily.

In terms of content, TimeOut archives probably are one of the most comprehensive touristic/entertainment information databases. The on-line version only covers the highlights and most important events that are taking place during the current week. The City guides however are as comprehensive and as up to date as the hardcopy versions.

Lastly Time Out on-line offers all of this information and utilities absolutely free.
